How to rebuild the search index in Microsoft Outlook?

I struggle very often with my outlook search results, either they stop working or they don’t show the desired results. To solve this problem I have rebuild my Outlook search index. It was easy to implement but took some time to rebuild the index. So if you face similar problems you can follow the instructions below to rebuild your Microsoft Outlook search index

1. Open your outlook
2. Click on File
3. Click on Options
4. Click on Search in the left navigation  
5. Click on the Indexing Options button on the right panel under Sources
6. Click on Advanced button
7. Under Index settings tab click on Rebuild
8. A message will popup, Click on OK

The indexing will start now, it will take some time to complete the indexing. The total time taken will depends upon the size of the mail box.
